Soluble Fiber Softens Stools & Benefits Colon Function in 3 Important Ways: Fruit-Eze Regularity Blend contains soluble fiber. Soluble fibers soften stools.
Soluble fiber helps to make stools soft, flexible, and easy to pass. In the colon, intestinal microbes ferment soluble fiber into a gel that softens stools and benefits colon function in 3 important ways:

1.
Incorporated into the stool, the soluble fiber-gel helps to soften stools making them flexible and easy to pass.

2.
Coating the stools, the soluble fiber-gel lubricates stools speeding their transit and easing their passage.

3.
Coating the colon wall, the soluble fiber-gel moisturizes and protects the colon lining which helps to maintain the colon wall, colon nerves, and growth of intestinal microbes.

About Soluble Fiber

Soluble fiber is found inside and around the structural material of cell walls in plants. It consists of pectin, gums (guar gum, gum arabic and locust bean gum), mucilage and some hemicelluloses. Soluble fiber dissolves in water. In the human gastrointestinal tract, fiber passes through mostly undigested until it reaches the colon where dietary fibers are slowly and incompletely fermented by intestinal microbes.
